The cross country teams traveled to South Christian High School on Friday for the Under the Lights Invite. The girls team placed 18th overall, while the boys team finished 23rd.
Highlighting the day was Caroline, who took first place in the girls race and broke her own school record with a time of 18:25.9.
Other varsity runners for the girls were: Emerson, Chloe, Sage, Brynn, Maddie and Malena.
Varsity runners for the boys included: Tanner, Eli, Carter, Alex, Parker, Caleb and Spencer.
Several athletes also completed their first 5K races for HHS: Haley, Olivia, Alex, Josh and Anthony.
The teams will compete next at the Barney Roy Invitational at Turkeyville tomorrow. The varsity girls race begins at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 6:45 p.m.
In volleyball, the Varsity Saxons hit the court on Saturday at Fremont and battled their way to a third place finish out of nine teams.
