CTE Program Overview

Hastings Area Schools- Career and Technical Education

All eligible high school-aged children in Barry County are allowed to enroll in the Career & Technical Education programs, and eligible charter schools are invited to be a participating agency in the regional Perkins Grant.

Partner Programs

  • Work Experience

  • Dual Enrollment (various programs, colleges, and universities) up to 30 college credits. Most of the cost is covered by the school district.

  • Early college programs (various programs, colleges, and universities) up to 62 college credits (associate degree). Most of the cost is covered by the school district.

CTE Programs and staff are state-certified (4000 hours of industry employment) in addition to teacher certification

CTE Programs are articulated and receive college credit (programs of study to be available soon)

CTE Programs provide state of Michigan Business/Industry curriculum, Student Leadership, Technical & Soft Skills Training, and Work-Based Learning experiences

CTE students can receive multiple Industry/Business Credentials
