We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the generous parents of our HHS students for the wonderful meal provided during parent/teacher conferences. Thank you, also, to Nicki Haight and her hard work organizing it.
Conference days are long, and many of our staff members travel a considerable distance to and from school. Having a meal available makes an incredible difference when there isn’t enough time to go home or pick something up and return.
The kindness shown to our staff did not go unnoticed!

They connected with dozens of employers representing a wide range of industries, exploring career pathways and learning about opportunities available after high school or college.
It was a great event filled with meaningful conversations, insights and ... free stuff!

The girls scored 171.5 point, beating out second place Plainwell and Thornapple Kellogg, which both had 126. The Saxons even scored 30 points more than any of the other seven district championship teams throughout the state!
Also, 11 girls qualified for individual regionals next Sunday. Earning individual district championships in their weight classes were Riley Furrow, Dez Mathis and Ashlyn Bailey.
The team heads to Portage Northern for regionals next Sunday.

This caps off winning eight tournaments in a row and a perfect 10-0 dual meet record. The tournament this weekend was made up of 42 schools from five different conferences.
Since most leagues don't have enough girls to host a tournament on their own, it was decided to combine girls from all five leagues in the Southwest Michigan area. The Saxons scored 178 points. Plainwell was second with 163.5.
Dez Mathis won the championship in her weight class at 120 pounds. Placing second was Riley Furrow (100), Abby Fraser (145) and Ashlynn Bailey (235). Placing third was Sara Baker (130) and Chloe Aiken (70).
The girls host 32 schools for Individual districts this Sunday at home.

First responders handled business on the court with a 56–43 win, but teachers came out on top where it mattered most: donations, prevailing 368–245.
Huge thanks to everyone who gave their time, energy, and money to make this event such a success!

As part of their annual fundraiser, which blesses schools and other local, national and worldwide causes, they contributed $9,800 to HHS to help create a student resource closet.
Our students often have needs for basic essentials that can go unmet or are quietly covered by our office staff out of their own pockets. This incredible gift ensures that these important items will be readily available to students when they need them most.
Thank you, Journey Church, for your generosity and thoughtful support of our students.

JV turned in one of their strongest performances of the season, earning 2nd place in their division with a season-high 558.40.
Varsity brought the heat after a week of hard work, delivering some of their cleanest rounds yet and finishing on top with a commanding lead of more than 60 points over second-place Pennfield.
Next stop: Jackson Northwest next Wednesday for the league finals. Varsity is chasing history as they look to complete a clean sweep and bring home their 6th straight league championship! 💙📣
