When The Kingston Trio took the stage at the Hastings Performing Arts Center on Saturday night, they officially launched another exciting season of top-quality entertainment at the state-of-the-art venue.

Audience members were treated to a lively performance from the legendary American folk and pop group, which has been performing together since 1957. With their signature harmonies and enduring devotion to the traditions of American folk music, The Kingston Trio rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s, shaping the musical tastes of an entire generation.

Their concert marks just the beginning of what promises to be an exceptional 2025–26 season, presented by Friends of HPAC and the Thornapple Arts Council.

As always, the holidays will be a highlight of the year’s programming.

“The holidays are always a magical time at the Hastings Performing Arts Center,” said Spencer White, HPAC & CERC Director. “With the Grand Rapids Symphony’s Holiday Pops, Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass, and John Berry’s Christmas tour all returning, we’re thrilled to welcome back these audience favorites that truly fill the season with joy. These shows often sell out quickly, so if you want your choice of seats, now’s the time to get your tickets!”
