Last Day of School
- Today, Wednesday, June 5, is the last day of school. Students will have morning exams and be dismissed to go home at 11:15 AM to begin summer break. Enjoy your summer break!
Laptop Collection
Students you are responsible for turning in your laptop or Chromebook and charger on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week- whichever day works best for you based on your exam schedule and your possible need for your device. There will be tables set up at both front exits from 11:15-1:45 for you to drop off. You will receive a bill for the laptop and/or charger if you don’t turn it in by Wednesday afternoon.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found items are on the tables outside of the office. If you are missing something, please check the tables before the end of the school year. Any items not claimed by the end of the school day on June 5th will be donated to Goodwill. (6/5)
Medications
Any medications kept in the office need to be picked up by a parent or guardian by June 7, 2024. Medications not picked up by June 7, 2024 will be destroyed. (6/5)
Hastings Public Library Summer Reading
Summer is coming and the Hastings Public Library is ready! Join us for our Summer Reading Program, including a reading challenge and programs for all ages. The programs include a tie-dying day, adventures with reptiles, retro video game play, and so much more! you don't need a library card to participate and everything is free. Career Connections Summer Camps
Career Connections Summer Camps are being offered in Barry County for area High School students in classes of 2024,2025 and 2026. This is a FREE program, including lunch and gas cards, to support our local young people in developing essential workplace skills. See the flyer HERE and more information HERE
The offering details are:
- Session 1: June 17- July 1; M-Th 12:30-5:30pm. Held at Hastings HS
- Session 2: July 22-Aug 5; M-Th 10am- 3pm. Held at Fehsenfeld Center, Room 133
There is a separate registration form for each session. Session 1 HERE, Session 2 HERE. Electronically filled out forms can be emailed to KCC's Fehsenfeld Center at [email protected]. Hard copies can be picked up, or completed copies can be dropped off, at the KCC Fehsenfeld Center (2950 W. M-179 Hwy, Hastings) or Barry County ISD (535 W. Woodlawn Ave, Hastings).

SWIM
Anyone interested in participating on the Girls Swim & Dive team for the 2024-2025 season should meet Coach Schoessel in the athletic office right after school today. (6/5)
CHEER
Sideline Cheer tryouts for the 2024-2025 Fall season will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th at Central Elementary gymnasium. No experience is necessary, but you must have a current physical form in the athletic office in order to try out. Look for flyers located around HHS for more information, or stop by the athletic office to see Mrs. Northrop or Mr. Goggins. (6/5)
