There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 18 and Monday, October 21. Enjoy your fall break and we will see everyone on Tuesday, October 22.

11th grade PSAT/NMSQT Testing

VIRTUAL JUNIORS:
HVA juniors have an opportunity to test on Tuesday, October 22.  This fall testing period is the only time students can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship and it serves as great practice for the big SAT coming up in April 2025.   (10/22) 

MICHIGAN COLLEGE MONTH

Seniors, remember it’s College Month! Everything you do counts and helps you get to the goal. And you just might win a gift card at the end of the week!

Is this you?  “I’m so stressed. I have to make decisions about my future. There are so many options, and I don’t even know where to start.” Meet with teachers and counselors. Meet with our college advisor, Mr. Cuffman. Ask them questions–it might make your decisions a bit easier. (10/17)

COLLEGE CAMPUS VISITS

Are you planning to enter the workforce after high school? If your answer is “yes,” consider visiting local manufacturers with high school staff on Oct. 30 or Nov. 5 to get a first-hand look at operations..Sign-up forms and permission slips will be available beginning Wednesday in the Library.  (10/23)

Varsity Volleyball

The varsity volleyball team fell in a close three sets to Coldwater last night. They battled back and forth every set, but just couldn't come through with the win. Leaders for the night were Hannah Sorensen with 10 assists, Liliana Fox with 36 passes, Rachael Hewitt with 10 kills, and Ava Noteboom with 3 solo blocks, The Saxons take on Greenville next Tuesday for their last home game and senior night. 

 

JV Volleyball

JV volleyball has a stellar night beating Coldwater in two sets. 25-18 and 23-25. 

Stat leaders were Marlayna Young with 7 kills, Lily Dingena with 4 aces, and Lola Grego with 22 passes. 

Next home match is Senior Night next Tuesday the 22nd versus Greenville. Come out and cheer on your lady Saxons and the seniors for their last home match.

 

Freshman Volleyball

The Freshman volleyball team won an exciting match against Coldwater last night. The Saxons won in three sets going 25-19, 18-25, 16-14. Sophia Bucher led in aces and assists. Kim Coolidge and Nani Farrell led in attacks and Jayden Evans and Kayden Brown played well in the back row.
