HHS Musical

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat tickets are now on sale! Go to hastingsmusical.com to find the link to tickets. All tickets are $11, except for HHS students who may come and purchase the tickets from Mr. Moore beginning at the end of February. Get your tickets to see a comedic, high energy, and exciting show for the whole family! Saxon Store- Candy Grams

 

Hey Saxons, It's February and that means Candy Grams at the Saxon Store.  We have 3 AMAZING options this year for the Valentine's Day Candy Grams. Mr. Straube and his culinary arts students are making the very delicious and much anticipated Cake Pops.

Candy Grams include:

Each Candy Gram will have a personalized note and you will need to know your special someone's 3rd hour.

Yearbook

 

The Yearbook Staff and Mrs. Kingma are asking for pictures of students with their best friends and students with their pets to be included in a special extended edition for your 2024-2025 HHS yearbook. This special section is for students that have ordered and paid for their yearbook before April 1, 2025, and will be distributed before May 16. So, order your yearbook and send Mrs. Kingma your pictures; be sure to include names of friends and pets. Not sure if you have already ordered your yearbook for this year? Graduation Items

 

Any seniors who ordered extra items with their cap and gown package (announcements or frames)- those are available to pick up in the office.

 

Caps and Gowns will be handed out at the Senior Meeting on March 19 at 1:00 (in the HPAC). If you have not ordered your cap and gown you need to do that ASAP in order to ensure it arrives in time for graduation. Click HERE to order.

Student Services

 

CREDIT RECOVERY

Registration is open for the HHS Credit Recovery program, which runs from January to May. Credit Recovery utilizes the Edgenuity software program online, and is designed for students to recover credit(s) lost in previously failed high school courses. Interested students should pick up a Registration Application from Mrs. Erb in the Counseling Department. Credit Recovery will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 5:15, from Jan. 14 until May 1, located here at the high school library. Attendance is required. Questions? FRESHMAN GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Freshman Girls Basketball team traveled to Parma Western last night. The Saxons unfortunately did not bring home the win, but Olivia Buehler led the team in points and Violet Bivens worked hard in the paint. The girls have a home game this Thursday at 4pm. 

 

VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL

Varsity Girls took on State ranked Parma Western on Tuesday. The Saxons came out firing, playing aggressive on the defensive end and held Parma Western in check from the perimeter trailing 22-20 at half. The Saxons made big shots all night but couldn’t withstand Parma’s 4 made threes in the 3rd quarter. The Saxons played a great game and pushed the Panthers falling 55-36. Rachael Hewitt finished with 15, Victoria Tack and Kalli  Koning each had 2 made 3s and finished with 8 point a piece, Maddie Peake had 3 and Bella Friddle finished with 2. Saxons travel to Lee on Thursday.

 

BOWLING

The Varsity Saxon Girls bowled in their Regionals Tune-Up.  Kaylin Schild placed 29th with a high 175  game , Heaven Simmet 35th with a 179 game, Megan Ramey 44th with a 168, Jen Stoline 58th with a 159, Kass Harton 67th with a 170 game. The girls placed among 102 bowlers.

 

The Saxon Bowlers hosted Coldwater at Hastings Bowl last night.   Varsity Girls 19-11. Megan Ramey 159 game, Kaylin Schild 148, Jen Stoline 192, and Heaven Simmet 174 and 201 games. Tied first Baker with 122 and won second for total 6 points. in bakers. Varsity Boys won 18-12. They are now 7-0 in the conference standings.  Brody Mix earned 1 pt for his 182 but also bowled a 185. Andrew Barton 177, 237 for 2 pts, Hunter Pennington 192 for 1 pt and also bowled a 182. They bowled a 231 baker match.  JV Boys lost 11-19. Points earned by Logan Kelly 140, Leeland Dinger 91, Owen Boge 130.
